Lisbon to be part of the ‘Challenge Family’ World Triathlon Series
The Lisboa Triathlon started in 2006, and has since become an iconic triathlon in the international circuit. After joining the Challenge Family, Challenge Lisboa was born, with its 1st edition being held in 2017.
Taking place in one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world, Challenge Lisboa is sure to be a memorable event for the entire family, with a great variety of distances and activities to choose from.
An idilic swim venue, a bike course that features a freeway completely closed to traffic, a run course that’s flat and alongside the famous Tagus river, a city with a history that’s centuries old and the great Portuguese hospitality are just a few of the highlights this event has to offer.
It will also be host to the Challenge Family Corporate World Championships, and will be offering pro and age-group slots for The Championship, whose 1st edition will be in 2017, and will set the new standard for long distance triathlon racing.
Challenge Lisboa is under the management of Case Imagine (sports) , whose goal is to put Portugal on the map by hosting world class events.
